What data types can be compared?

The table provides data types that can be compared by dbForge Studio for SQL Server.

Type compatibility table

  • Checkmark – Data types can be compared.

  • C – During comparison, explicit conversion is applied. The synchronization script will include the already converted data. In the Data Comparison document, the Different, Equal, and Only in Target sections display data in the target data type, while the Only in Source section displays data in the source data type.

  • Exclamation mark – Possible data loss.

Empty cells indicate type pairs that cannot be compared.
