How to generate the Data Comparison report

Studio for SQL Server provides a possibility to view the results of data comparison in the form of a report.

To generate a comparison report after comparison, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Comparison on the main menu and click Generate Comparison Report.

Please, note that the option becomes available only after you perform the comparison.

2. In the Comparison Report wizard that opens, select the required report format (HTML, Excel, or CSV).

3. Specify the name and location of the report file.

4. Optional: Select the Append timestamp to the folder name if needed.

5. Optional: Select the View the report on completion check box to view the report upon creation.

6. Select what to include in the report: All objects, Objects with differences, or Objects selected for synchronization.

7. Click Generate.
