International Standard Book Number

The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a unique number that identifies each edition and variation of a book. The ISBN is a 10 digit number, though the number of digits vary depending on the country of issuance.

The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) Generator generates numbers of 10 digits separated by hyphens.

Note

You can also generate ISBNs in the 13-digit format. For this, select the International Standard Book Number (ISBN-13) generator.

The dialog box of the ISBN Generator contains some of the Basic Settings. You can customize the generator by changing the basic settings.

Specify a separator to be included between the groups of digits. By default, digits are separated by a hyphen.
