There are several situations in Security Manager where the editor for managing security objects is unavailable. When this occurs, a message (watermark) is displayed to explain why the editor can’t be shown.

The possible watermarks and their meanings are as follows.
| Watermark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| To view the list of users select a connection from the drop-down list on the window toolbar or click Refresh. | No connection is selected, and the user list is empty, meaning there are no users to select. |
| You do not have enough privileges to view users. Select another connection or change connection settings and click Refresh. | The current user doesn’t have sufficient permissions to access security metadata. |
| Cannot show editor because no objects are selected or objects of different types are selected. | Either no objects are selected or multiple object types (for example, users and schemas) are selected simultaneously in the tree. |
