How to work with multiple users

dbForge Studio provides a possibility to work with multiple logins, users, roles, or application roles in Security Manager.

This feature is useful if you need to add the same privileges or roles for several logins, users, roles, or application roles.

To select multiple logins, users, roles, or application roles, press CTRL and click the required security objects, or if they are located one by one, select the first one, press SHIFT, and click the last security object you need.

For several logins, you can edit server roles and server permissions, for users - role membership and object permissions, for roles - role members and object permissions, and for application roles - object permissions.

The following icons define the state of privileges:

  • for global privileges:

To all - the privilege is assigned to all selected users.

Not To all - the privilege is assigned not to all selected users.

Not Assigned - the privilege is not assigned to any of the selected users.

  • for object privileges:

Belongs to all - the privilege is assigned to all selected users.

Belongs not to all - the privilege is assigned not to all selected users.
