Work with multiple security objects

You can make changes to multiple security objects (logins, users, roles, or application roles) in Security Manager. This feature is helpful if you need to assign the same privileges or roles to several security objects of the same type.

Tabs that you can edit for multiple security objects differ by security object.

Edit multiple security objects

1. On the Database menu, select Security Manager.

2. In the tree, select the security objects (logins, users, roles, or application roles) you want to edit:

  • To select individual objects (not next to each other), hold down Ctrl and select the needed security objects one by one.
  • To select a range of objects, select the first one, hold down Shift, and select the last security object you need.

3. Make changes and click Save.

The following icons demonstrate the state of roles and permissions:

An empty checkbox – Not assigned to any of the selected security objects.
