Manipulating Profiles

This topic tells you how to manipulate profiles with dbForge Studio for Oracle Security Manager.

Security Manager provides an easy way to add, alter or remove profiles visually without typing SQL code. To open Security Manager select Security Manager on the Database menu.

Creating a Profile

  1. Open Security Manager.
  2. Select the Profiles node.
  3. Click the Create Profile button on the Security Manager toolbar

    OR

  4. Right-click the Profiles node and select New Profile on the shortcut menu.
  5. Fill in the Name field.
  6. Set required general and password parameters.
  7. Click the Save button on the Security Manager toolbar.

Editing a Profile

To edit a profile, you should:

  1. Open Security Manager.
  2. Expand the Profiles node.
  3. Select the required profile in the tree.
  4. Edit the profile.
  5. Click the Save button on the Security Manager toolbar to apply changes. If you want to discard changes, click the Undo button.

Deleting a Profile

To delete a profile, you should:

  1. Open Security Manager.
  2. Expand the Profiles node.
  3. Select Delete on the shortcut menu of the required profile

    or

select the required profile in the tree and press DELETE.
