Deactivate dbForge SQL Complete

You can deactivate dbForge SQL Complete in SSMS or Visual Studio, in the Customer Portal, or from the command line.

An internet connection is required for deactivation.

Note

After deactivation, you can’t use dbForge SQL Complete until you activate it again.

Deactivate in SSMS or Visual Studio

1. On the menu bar, select SQL Complete > Help > Deactivate.

Tip

If the SQL Complete menu isn’t visible on the menu bar, you can find it under Extensions.

2. Click Deactivate.

Deactivate in the Customer Portal

1. Log in to the Customer Portal.

2. On the Products page, hover over the product and click Details.

3. Select the license you want to deactivate.

4. Click Deactivate.

Deactivate from the command line

1. Open Command Prompt.

2. Navigate to the installation folder of dbForge SQL Complete that contains the sqlcomplete.com executable.

The default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Devart\dbForge SQL Complete.

Note

If you installed dbForge SQL Complete as part of dbForge SQL Tools, the default path to the installation folder is C:\Program Files\Devart\dbForge SQL Tools Enterprise\dbForge SQL Complete.

3. Run the following command:

sqlcomplete.com /deactivate
