dbForge Query Builder for SQL Server is a well-polished unit for creating database queries on a whole new interactivity level thanks to the visual features via graphical SQL query designer when dealing with SQL Server through a neat and intuitive UI.
The most common tasks can be done directly from Database Explorer. By right-clicking an empty space in Database Explorer, you will open the tasks list:
1. New Connection - opens the Database Connection Properties dialog and allows you to add a new connection.
2. Modify Connection - opens the Database Connection Properties dialog for you to edit an existing connection.
3. Open/Close - if the connection is active, this action allows closing it; if not - to activate it.
4. Create Connection Like - allows creating a connection on a basis of the selected one.
5. New SQL - opens a new tab and sets its context to the default database for SQL query creation and execution.
6. Tools:
-
Export Data - opens the Data Export wizard.
-
Import Data - opens the Data Import wizard.
7. Rename - allows changing the name of a database connection.
8. Delete - deletes a database connection, database, table, or any other object.
9. Refresh - updates Database Explorer.
10. Properties - opens or closes the table that contains brief information regarding a selected database object.
