Activation
Unless activated, dbForge Transaction Log works on a trial basis for 30 days. When this time period expires, the tool must be activated with the purchased activation key.
dbForge Transaction Log can be activated either online or offline.
Online activation
This activation method requires an active Internet connection.
To activate dbForge Transaction Log online:
1. In the Help menu, click Activate Product.
Alternatively, in the Expiration window, click Activate.
2. You should input the activation key sent to your email after the purchase. Note that it is a long key, not the license number in the format XXXX-XXX-XXX.
Note
If you do not see the e-mail with the activation key, be advised to check your Junk/Spam/Bulk folders.
You can always retrieve your activation key at your Customer Portal page.
3. To complete the product activation, click Activate.
Offline activation
Offline activation allows activating dbForge Transaction Log right at the Devart website. This activation method helps to activate the product when the online activation fails.
To activate dbForge Transaction Log offline:
1. In the Product Activation window, click Manual Activation.
2. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the activation request text or click Save to File to save the text to a text file.
3. Open the Manual Product Activation page of the Devart website, paste the copied text in the text box, and click Download license. The license file with the .lic extension is downloaded to your computer.
4. Return to the Activation window of dbForge Transaction Log and click Load license.
5. Specify the location of the downloaded .lic file and click Open.
