How To Update Review Assistant

Follow this instruction to update Review Assistant to a newer version.

  1. Before updating, make sure that your system meets the requirements.

  2. Stop Review Assistant (if currently running). Make sure all processes launched by Review Assistant are no longer running.

  3. Download a new version of Review Assistant and run the Review Assistant installer. The Install Wizard will appear and guide you through the installation.

Note:

We strongly recommend you to manually create a backup of your database and move it to your backup location before starting the installation process.

Ideally, you should script this process so that it backups your database at a particular timestamp and run that script regularly.

For more details on the installation process, please see the Server Installation and Client Installation topics.

Client and Server Version Compatibility

There may be a situation when after updating Review Assistant a client version is incompatible with a server version, or vice versa. In this case, a warning message appears informing about the incompatibility.

To solve this problem, you should upgrade either the server or the client to a newer version to make sure that the server is at the same version level as the client.
