    PgSqlRowUpdatingEventHandler Delegate
    In This Topic
    Represents the method that will handle the RowUpdating event of an PgSqlDataAdapter.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Delegate Sub PgSqlRowUpdatingEventHandler( _
       ByVal sender As Object, _
       ByVal e As PgSqlRowUpdatingEventArgs _
    )
    public delegate void PgSqlRowUpdatingEventHandler(
       object sender,
       PgSqlRowUpdatingEventArgs e
    )

    Parameters

    sender
    The source of the event.
    e
    The PgSqlRowUpdatingEventArgs object that contains the event data.
    Remarks
    The handler is not required to perform any action, and your code should avoid generating exceptions or allowing exceptions to propagate to the calling method. Any exceptions that do reach the caller are ignored.

    Use the handler to process PgSqlRowUpdatingEventArgs and to specify how updates are processed. For example, you may opt to skip the update of the current row or skip the update of all remaining rows. Note that the rows are updated in the order that they were received from the data source.

    When you create an PgSqlRowUpdatingEventArgs delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event handler delegates, see "Events and Delegates" in the .NET Framework SDK documentation.
