Parameters

connection

This method initiates the tracking mechanism. The MySqlDependency analyzes the CommandText properties of all added MySqlCommand objects. After this method is invoked, changes in commands are not accounted.

The Start(MySqlConnection) method iterates through all attached MySqlCommand objects and checks the MySqlConnection objects referenced by the command. If the command uses the specified connection, this command is used in server polling. In other words, if you use different connection, you might have to invoke the Start(MySqlConnection) method several times.

Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
