dbForge AI Assistant helps you write and improve SQL code in dbForge products. It offers suggestions, explanations, and fixes in real time—all within your development environment—and reduces manual effort in SQL writing, debugging, and other routine tasks.
You can use AI Assistant to:
-
Generate SQL queries from natural language: Describe what you need (for example, filtering data, joining tables, or summarizing values) and get a ready-to-use SQL query.
-
Explore your database: Ask questions about table structures, data types, and relationships between objects, or request specific information, such as the number of clients or recent transactions.
-
Fix mistakes in SQL code: Share a query that returns an error or produces unexpected results, and get suggestions on how to fix it.
-
Compare DDL statements: Ask AI Assistant to analyze and compare the structure of two database objects, and highlight the differences between them.
-
Get explanations of SQL code: Submit a query or function to get a clear explanation of how it works.
-
Use database context: Attach a database so AI Assistant can provide suggestions and responses based on your actual schema.
-
Access AI Assistant directly from SQL Editor: Select code and ask AI Assistant to explain, optimize, or fix it.
-
Chat with AI Assistant: Submit requests, ask follow-up questions, and review suggestions through a built-in chat window.
