    DbType Property
    In This Topic
    Gets or sets the System.Data.DbType of the parameter.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Overrides Property DbType As DbType
    public override DbType DbType {get; set;}

    Property Value

    One of the System.Data.DbType values. The default value is System.String.
    Remarks
    The UniDbType and DbType are linked. Therefore, setting the DbType changes the UniDbType to a supporting UniDbType.

    For a list of the supported data types, see the appropriate UniDbType member.

    Example
    The following example creates a UniParameter and sets some of its properties, including the DbType property.
    public void CreateUniParameter()
    {
      UniParameter myParameter = new UniParameter();
      myParameter.ParameterName = "DName";
      myParameter.DbType = DbType.String;
      myParameter.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
      myParameter.Size = 15;
    }
    Public Sub CreateUniParameter()
      Dim myParameter As New UniParameter()
      myParameter.ParameterName = "DName"
      myParameter.DbType = DbType.String
      myParameter.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output
      myParameter.Size = 15
    End Sub
