Parameters

connectionString

The connection string to use when checking for changes on the server.

This method initiates the tracking mechanism. The MySqlDependency analyzes the CommandText properties of all added MySqlCommand objects. After this method is invoked, changes in commands are not accounted.

The Start(String) method iterates through all attached MySqlCommand objects and checks the connections string of MySqlConnection objects referenced by the command. If the ConnectionString property is same as the connectionString parameter, this command is used in server polling. In other words, if you have several different connection strings, you might have to invoke the Start(String) method several times.
