Licensing

dbForge DevOps Automation for SQL Server is available only as part of the dbForge SQL Tools bundle. You can explore the bundle during a free trial, and DevOps Automation for SQL Server will remain free to use even after the trial period ends.
Free trial
When you install dbForge SQL Tools without a purchased license, you get a 30-day free trial to evaluate the tools (except for SQL Complete, which is provided with a 14-day free trial). During the trial, you have access to all available functionality of every tool in the bundle.
The trial period starts on the day you activate the bundle.
After the trial ends, only free products remain available—DevOps Automation, Monitor, Search, Event Profiler, and SQL Decryptor. To continue using all the tools in the bundle, you need to purchase a license.
If you need more time to evaluate the non-free tools, please contact us at sales@devart.com.
Your product licenses
You can manage your product licenses through the Customer Portal on the Devart website. Log in with the email address and password you provided when you purchased the product or downloaded the trial version.
In the Customer Portal, you can view the details on every product you purchased or tried, including:
- The number of licenses.
- Activations for each product.
- A hardware ID. The hardware ID is a unique identifier of a machine on which a product license is activated. This ID is generated based on the BIOS, CPU, and HDD parameters and appears as a set of letters and numbers.
You can also deactivate a license or extend a subscription using the Customer Portal.
Note
If you deactivate a product, it can’t be used until reactivated.
Bundle
If you have purchased a bundle of products, your activation key activates all the products in the bundle.
If you deactivate the bundle, all included products are deactivated.
To extend a subscription for a bundle, you need to purchase an extension for the entire bundle, not individual products.
