When multiple connections are open in Database Explorer, you can run queries or perform other actions against any of them. Each SQL document is linked to a specific connection, which you can set using the Connection toolbar. The drop-down list on this toolbar shows the connection associated with the active document or tool window.
When you create or open a SQL document, it is assigned to a default connection. If you create a SQL document when no connections are available in Database Explorer, the document has no connection, and you cannot execute SQL statements or retrieve data.
To change the connection for a SQL document, select the required connection from the Document Connection list on the Connection toolbar.
