Work with images on a diagram

You can add and manage images in a diagram. dbForge Studio supports the following image formats: .bmp, .jpeg, .tiff, .png, .ico, .emf, and .wmf. You can move, resize, and arrange images like other shapes, including bringing them to the front or sending them to the back.

Add an image

1. On the Database Diagram toolbar, click .

Alternatively, right-click the diagram and select New > Image.

2. Click the diagram to insert the image.

3. In the dialog that opens, select the image you want to add and click Open.

Adjust the image position and layer order

To adjust the image position and layer order, right-click the image, select Shape, then select one of the following options:

• Bring to Front – Moves the image in front of overlapping objects.
• Send to Back – Moves the image behind overlapping objects.
• Align to Grid – Aligns the image with the background grid.
• Best Fit – Returns the image to its original size.

Replace an image

1. Right-click the image and select Choose Image.

2. In the dialog that opens, select a new image and click Open.

Resize an image

To resize an image, select it and use the vertical and horizontal resize handles.

Remove an image

To remove an image from the diagram, right-click the image and select Remove from Diagram, or press Delete.

Synchronize an image with Document Outline

To display the newly created image in Document Outline, right-click the diagram and select Synchronize Document Outline.
