Work with images on a diagram

dbForge Studio allows you to add images to a diagram. You can move, bring to the front, send images to the back, or resize like any other shapes on the diagram. dbForge Studio supports the following image formats – .bmp, .jpeg, .tiff, .png, .ico, .emf, and .wmf.

Add an image to a diagram

To add an image to a diagram:

1. On the Database Diagram toolbar, select New Image New Image. Alternatively, right-click the diagram and select New > Image.

2. Place a cursor on the diagram.

3. In the Open window that opens, browse for the image file you want to insert in the diagram and select Open.

Remove an image from a diagram

To remove an image from the diagram, right-click the image and select Remove from Diagram. Alternatively, select the image and press the Delete keyboard shortcut.

Replace an image

To replace an image:

1. Right-click it and select Choose Image.

2. In the Open window that opens, browse for the image file you want to insert in the diagram and select Open.

Adjust image position and layering

To Adjust image position and layering, right-click the image, select Shape, and then select one of the following options:

  • Bring to Front to move the image above other overlapping objects.
  • Send to Back to move the image behind other overlapping objects.
  • Align to Grid to align objects to the grid for a structured layout.
  • Best Fit to automatically adjust the zoom level to ensure that all objects fit within the image.
