DE Address Line 1 generator

The DE Address Line 1 generator creates data for the first line of an address in Germany (DE). Usually, this would include the street name and house number.

Note

If you select Germany from the Country-specific data list on the Options page of the Data Generator Project Properties wizard, the DE Address Line 1 generator will be applied to columns that meet the matching rules, replacing the default (United States) generator.

The table provides key details about the generator, including the short name, sample of the generated data, the supported data types, and whether it is specific to a particular country.

Matching rules

The generator can be assigned to a column that matches any of the following rules:

  • The column name contains ‘Address’, preceded or followed by any or no characters, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name starts with ‘Ship’ and then goes ‘Address’, preceded or followed by any or no characters, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name is ‘addr##1’, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name starts with ‘cust’ or ‘ship’ and ends with ‘addr##1’, with any or no characters in between, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name starts with ‘ship’ or ‘invoice’ and ends with ‘addr##’, with any or no characters in between, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name starts with ‘invoice’ and ends with ‘addr##1’, with any or no characters in between, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name contains ‘Address’, preceded or followed by any or no characters, and ends with ‘1’, regardless of the table name.
  • The column name ends with ‘street’, preceded by any or no characters, regardless of the table name.

Configure additional options

The generator produces data based on a regular expression. Since it is built on the RegExp generator, see Regular Expression generator to customize settings and understand the correct usage of syntax.

The Text box displays a .txt file that contain a list of streets. The default path to the file is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Devart\dbForge Studio for PostgreSQL\Data Generators\DEStreets.txt.
