File Name (DOS) generator
Last modified: April 3, 2025
The File Name (DOS) generator creates file names that adhere to the 8.3 filename convention used in DOS-based systems. It generates values consisting of a filename (up to 8 characters) and a file extension (3 characters), separated by a period. The filenames typically include uppercase letters (A-Z) and digits (0-9), reflecting the alphanumeric constraints of DOS file systems. This generator is particularly useful for testing legacy systems or applications that handle DOS-style file names.
