UK Company Registration Number (CRN) generator

Last modified: April 3, 2025

The UK Company Registration Number (CRN) generator creates unique identification numbers assigned to companies registered in the United Kingdom. These numbers, usually 8 characters long (a mix of digits and sometimes letters), are used by Companies House to uniquely identify and track businesses in the UK.

Note

If you select United Kingdom from the Country-specific data list on the Options page of the Data Generator Project Properties wizard, the UK Company Registration Number (CRN) generator will be applied to columns that meet the matching rules, replacing the default (United States) generator.
