Create a new database
Last modified: March 12, 2024
In dbForge Schema Compare for MySQL, users can create a new database that they can then select for comparison when configuring data sources.
This option can be particularly useful if users need to create a replica of the source database for comparison purposes.
Note
You can only create a new database as the Target.
To create a new database:
1. Click New Schema Comparison.
2. In the New Schema Comparison wizard, select Database as the source type and choose the source connection and database.
3. Select Database as the target type and choose the target connection.
4. Click the plus icon.
5. In the dialog that opens, specify a name and owner for a new database. Optionally, you can enter a description.
6. Click Apply Changes and close the dialog. The created database will be available in the Database field.
