Python Connector for xBase supports standard Python tooling and is compatible with major operating systems.

Python versions

The connector supports Python versions 3.7 through 3.14.

xBase compatibility

The connector is compatible with the following xBase-compatible databases and development tools:

• FoxPro 2, Visual FoxPro
• dBase III through dBase 7
• Codebase
• Clipper
• HiPer-Six

Libraries

You can use the connector with the following Python libraries:

• SQLAlchemy
• pandas
• petl

The connector runs on the following platforms:

• Windows (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows Server (32-bit and 64-bit)
