TPgConnectionOptions.ComplexAsBlob Property

Defines the format used to transfer Complex Types.

Remarks

If the option is set to True, Complex Types, such as POINT, LSEG, BOX, PATH, POLYGON, CIRCLE, LINE, VECTOR, HALFVECTOR, SPARSEVECTOR, INET, ARRAY, GEOMETRY, GEOGRAPHY, are transferred as BLOB fields. Otherwise, they are transferred as Memo fields.

If the EnableGeometrics, EnablePgArray, EnablePgGis, EnablePgVector, and EnablePgInet properties are set to True, the ComplexAsBlob option is disabled for the respective data types. The Protocol property determines the format used to transfer data.
