Usage statistics

The driver can collect anonymous usage statistics. This data helps us improve product quality, resolve issues faster, and better understand how our products are used.

The collected data is anonymous and does not include personal information. The amount of transmitted data is minimal and is used only for diagnostic and product improvement purposes.

Collected data

The driver collects the following data:

  • Product name and version.
  • Name of the process (application) using the driver.
  • License information: license type, license number, and license status.
  • Operating system name and version, number of processor cores.
  • An anonymous user identifier.
  • An anonymous hardware identifier.

Note

The user identifier and hardware identifier are internal IDs generated only for statistical purposes. They cannot be used to identify actual users or specific hardware.

  • Database server name and version.
  • Names of connection parameters used to connect to the database server.
  • Connection result: success, or a numeric error code if the connection fails.

Note

Only parameter names and numeric error codes are collected and transmitted. We do not collect parameter values (such as database name, user name, or password) or full error messages, which might contain sensitive data.

Default settings

Usage data collection is enabled by default when you install the driver.

To disable usage data collection, see the instructions for your operating system in this section.
