To obtain the Shopify Access Token, perform the following steps:
- Enable the Custom App support. To do this, go to your Shopify admin dashboard and click the arrow icon next to Apps at the bottom-left corner of your dashboard. Next, click App and sales channel settings at tne bottom of the menu.
- In the Settings window, proceed to the Apps and sales channel option.
- Click the Develop apps button.
- On the next page you need to confirm developing your app by clicking Allow custom app development.
- After allowing the custom app development you need to create the application by clicking Create app.
- Enter and select all requested details: App name, app developer.
- After creating your app you have to Configure Admin API Scopes.
- Select All to choose all the scopes for Admin API. Confirm all your changes by clicking Save.
- Go to the Apps and sales channels section and install your app by clicking Install app at the top right of the main window.
- In the appeared window click Install to proceed with the installation.
- Go to the API credentials tab of the Apps and sales channels section and copy your Admin API access token.
- Using your Shopify store link and Access Token, create a new ODBC connection and test it.
