How to get API Token

To obtain Jira API Token, perform the following steps:

1. Log into your Jira account.



2. Go to your Account Settings. You can get into Account Settings using the gearbox button, profile image button, or using a direct link..

   

3. Go to Security, locate the API token and click the Create and manage API tokens link

   

4. You will see the list of API tokens that are currently active. If you want to revoke an API token and disable it, click the "Revoke" (1) button. Otherwise, to create an API token you need to click the Create API Token button (2) and assign the API token label to it by clicking the Create button (3).

   

5. Your API token has been generated. You can view it by clicking the eye icon and copy it by clicking the Copy button. You can also manually copy the token by selecting it in the text field.

   

   
   

   Please note that after closing the Your new API token window you will not be able to view or copy this API Token again due to Jira security standards.
