Requirements

To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, your system must meet the following requirements before you install ODBC Driver for Oracle:

  • Only one version of the driver can be installed on your system at a time.
  • OCI mode: An Oracle client must be installed on your system.
  • Direct mode: No additional client software is required.

  • Oracle Cloud
  • Oracle servers: 8.0, 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c, 23c (including Express Editions)
  • Oracle clients: 8.0, 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c, 23c (including Oracle Instant Clients)

  • Windows (32-bit and 64-bit, including Windows Terminal Server).
