Security settings allow you to configure preserving connection string and other sensitive information in Excel.
Allow saving add-in specific data in Excel worksheet
Select this check box to allow Devart Excel Add-ins save such information as queries, connections, etc. in the Excel document.

To save all the specified connection options included in the connection string, select this check box.

Keep in mind, that the add-in specific data like connection string, that may include your credentials for logging in to a data source, will be saved to the currently edited Excel document. And if you plan to share the document with other people, they will also have your personal data. |
Allow reuse of connection string in Excel
If selected, all your connections will be saved on the computer and become available for reuse in any Excel document, any time you run Excel.
Allow saving password
If selected, the password specified in the connection parameters will be saved in the Excel document and on the user PC. If you plan to share the Excel document containing saved add-in specific data, it is highly recommended to save other connection parameters in Excel worksheet, but keep password in mind and not save it anywhere.This check box also controls storing authentication token for Zoho CRM, API key for Mailchimp, security token for Salesforce, and access token for QuickBooks.
