Notation, Diagram, Options Dialog

Use the Options window to adjust the database diagram behavior to your needs. To open it, select Options from the Tools menu.

Options can be set either globally for all the diagram documents or separately for a particular one.

The Database Diagram Notation section of the Options window contains the following options:

Skin

Skin Type – Click to select a skin for your diagram. The following two skins are available: Default and Classic.

Selection-based highlighting

Enabled – Select this checkbox to enable selection based highlighting.

Enabled for Multi-Selection – Select this checkbox to enable selection-based highlighting when several objects are selected. This checkbox is available only if the Enabled checkbox is selected.

Entities

Property Details Level – Click to select the level of property details.

Navigation Properties Collapsed – Select this checkbox to have navigation properties collapsed by default.

Note

You can access the aforementioned options (except the Reset button) if you right-click the diagram and select Options from the menu. Instead of the Reset button in the options, you will see Default. The difference between these buttons is the following:

Reset restores all the options to the predefined by Devart. The Default button restores the options to the ones specified on the Diagram Notation section of the Options window.
