General, Diagram, Options Dialog

Use the Options window to adjust the database diagram behavior to your needs. To open it, select Options from the Tools menu.

Options can be set either globally for all the diagram documents or separately for a particular one.

The Database Diagram General section of the Options window contains the following options:

General

Background Color – Select the background color for the diagram.

Auto Scale on Drop – Select to scale diagram automatically to fit all its shapes when dropping database objects to the diagram.

Preserve routing – Select it to preserve the routing of relation links on the diagram.

Wheel Scale – Select this checkbox to enable the use of the mouse scroll wheel to scale the diagram.

Grid

Show Grid – Select to enable grid on the diagram.

Enable Grid Snap – Select to enable snapping shapes to grid when dragging them.

Grid Step – Set size for the grid cells in pixels.

Shadow

Enable Shadows – Select to enable shadows for diagram shapes.

X Offset – Set horizontal offset for the shape shadow.

Y Offset – Set vertical offset for the shape shadow.

Reset – Resets all options on this page to their default values.

Note

You can access the aforementioned options (except the Reset button) if you right-click the diagram and select Options from the menu. Instead of the Reset button in the options, you will see Default. The difference between these buttons is the following:

Reset restores all the options to the predefined by Devart. The Default button restores the options to the ones specified on the Diagram General section of the Options window.
