Entity Developer is available in the following editions: Professional, for LINQ to SQL, for Entity Framework, for NHibernate, for Telerik Data Access, and Express.
Entity Developer for LINQ to SQL works only with SQL Server (via Microsoft SqlClient) and allows designing LINQ to SQL models.
Entity Developer for Entity Framework can connect to Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Compact, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Firebird, and DB2 using the corresponding ADO.NET data providers: SqlClient, Microsoft data provider for SQL Server CE, Oracle Data Provider for .NET, MySQL Connector/Net, Npgsql, System.Data.SQLite, Firebird ADO.NET Data Provider and IBM DB2 .NET Data Provider.
Entity Developer for NHibernate supports any third-party ADO.NET data providers to design NHibernate models.
Entity Developer for Telerik Data Access supports most of third-party ADO.NET data providers (but not dotConnect providers) to design Telerik Data Access models.
Entity Developer Professional Edition allows designing models for NHibernate, Entity Framework, Telerik Data Access, and LINQ to SQL.
Express Edition is a free limited version of Entity Developer Professional Edition. Express Edition does not allow customization of code templates and is limited to 10 entities in the project.
