How to update dbForge Edge

dbForge Edge can be upgraded in the following ways:

• Automatically using the Check for Updates option
• Manually using the website

Automatically upgrading using Check for Updates

Note

Since dbForge Edge comprises a pack of four standalone products - dbForge Studio for SQL Server, dbForge Studio for MySQL, dbForge Studio for Oracle, and dbForge Studio for PostgreSQL - you will need to update each Studio individually.

The Check for Updates option checks if a more recent version of the product is available to download. When using this option, make sure your web browser connection settings are configured correctly.

To check for updates

1. On the Help menu, select Check for Updates.

If there is a new version available, the update window is displayed.

2. To get information about the new version of the product, click What’s New?

3. To upgrade to the latest version, click Download.

If you want to get a notification about the update later, click Ask Later.

Manual product update via the website

To update to the latest version via the Devart website

1. Download the new version of the product from the website.

2. Run the installer and follow the instructions.
