dotConnect Universal is licensed, not sold. Please read carefully end-user license agreement (EULA) before using the product. You can find EULA in the installation folder, which is by default
\Program Files\Devart\dotConnect\Universal\License.rtf,
or under Start menu (Start\Programs\Devart dotConnect Universal\License).

Licensing

There are three types of full licenses for dotConnect Universal: Single Licenses, Team Licenses, and Site Licenses.

Single Licenses must be purchased for each developer working on a project that uses dotConnect Universal.

Purchasing a Team License automatically gives four developers a Single License.

Purchasing a Site License automatically gives all developers in a company a Single License.

For evaluation purposes only, you may also use dotConnect Universal Trial Edition under a temporary Evaluation License, which allows you to use dotConnect Universal Trial Edition for a period of 30 days, after which you must either remove all files associated with dotConnect Universal or purchase a full license.

Editions

Standard edition includes ADO.NET core classes and classes for native data types only. Professional edition includes additional classes, design-time extensions and wizards. Mobile edition is equivalent to Standard edition for .NET Compact Framework. Trial edition corresponds to Professional with trial limitation. A comparison chart can be found here.

Subscriptions

The dotConnect Universal Subscription program is an annual maintenance and support service for dotConnect Universal users.

Users with a valid dotConnect Universal Subscription get the following benefits:

• Access to new versions of dotConnect Universal Professional Edition when they are released
• Access to all dotConnect Universal Professional Edition updates and bug fixes
• Product support through the dotConnect Universal Priority Support program
• Notification of new product versions

Trial Limitations

The dotConnect Universal Evaluation License lets you try dotConnect Universal Trial Edition for a period of 30 days. There are no functionality limitations in dotConnect Universal Trial Edition during the trial period.
