In This Topic
    SugarDataAdapter Constructor(SugarCommand)
    In This Topic
    Initializes a new instance of the SugarDataAdapter class with the specified SugarCommand as the %% property.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Function New( _
       ByVal selectCommand As SugarCommand _
    )
    public SugarDataAdapter(
       SugarCommand selectCommand
    )

    Parameters

    selectCommand
    A SugarCommand that contains SQL SELECT statement, and is set as the SelectCommand property of the SugarDataAdapter.
    Remarks
    This implementation of the SugarDataAdapter constructor sets the SelectCommand property to the value specified in the selectCommand parameter.

    When you create an instance of SugarDataAdapter, the following read/write properties are set to their default values, as shown in the table.

    Properties Default Value
    MissingMappingAction MissingMappingAction.Passthrough
    MissingSchemaAction MissingSchemaAction.Add

    You can change the value of any of these properties through a separate call to the property.

    Example
    The following example creates a SugarDataAdapter, sets some of its properties, retrieves data from a table, and displays it.
    public void CreateDataAdapter(SugarConnection sugarConnection)
    {
      SugarCommand sugarCommand = new SugarCommand("SELECT DeptNo, DName FROM Campaigns", sugarConnection);
      SugarDataAdapter myAdapter = new SugarDataAdapter(sugarCommand);
      myAdapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey;
      DataSet myDataSet = new DataSet();
      myAdapter.Fill(myDataSet,"Campaigns");
      //Get all data from all tables within the dataset
      foreach(DataTable myTable in myDataSet.Tables)
      {
        foreach(DataRow myRow in myTable.Rows)
        {
          foreach (DataColumn myColumn in myTable.Columns)
          {
            Console.Write(myRow[myColumn]+"\t");
          }
          Console.WriteLine();
        }
        Console.WriteLine();
      }
    }
    Public Sub CreateDataAdapter(ByVal sugarConnection As SugarConnection)
      Dim sugarCommand As SugarCommand = New SugarCommand("SELECT DeptNo, DName FROM Campaigns", sugarConnection)
      Dim myAdapter As SugarDataAdapter = New SugarDataAdapter(sugarCommand)
      myAdapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey
      Dim myDataSet As DataSet = New DataSet
      myAdapter.Fill(myDataSet, "Campaigns")
      Dim myTable As DataTable
      Dim myRow As DataRow
      Dim myColumn As DataColumn
      ' Get all data from all tables within the dataset
      For Each myTable In myDataSet.Tables
        For Each myRow In myTable.Rows
          For Each myColumn In myTable.Columns
            Console.Write(myRow(myColumn) & Chr(9))
          Next myColumn
          Console.WriteLine()
        Next myRow
        Console.WriteLine()
      Next myTable
    End Sub
