    UseCatalog Property
    In This Topic
    Specifies whether the catalog identifier is included in data source object names.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Overridable Property UseCatalog As Boolean
    public virtual bool UseCatalog {get; set;}

    Property Value

    true if the catalog identifier is included in data source object names; otherwise, false. The default value is true.
    Remarks

    If true, data source object names in the generated CUD statements will contain the catalog identifier.

    Catalog is a second-level data container. This property is only reasonable for the databases that support more than one level of containerization with UseSchema being true.

    For example, if this property is true, the generated INSERT statement will look like the following:

    INSERT INTO mycatalog.myschema.mytable ...

    And if this property is false, the generated INSERT statement will look like the following:

    INSERT INTO myschema.mytable ...

    Requirements

    Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
