Syntax
'Declaration

Public Function New( _
   ByVal selectCommand As ExactTargetCommand _
)

Parameters

selectCommand
A ExactTargetCommand that contains SQL SELECT statement, and is set as the SelectCommand property of the ExactTargetDataAdapter.
Remarks
This implementation of the ExactTargetDataAdapter constructor sets the SelectCommand property to the value specified in the selectCommand parameter.

When you create an instance of ExactTargetDataAdapter, the following read/write properties are set to their default values, as shown in the table.

Properties Default Value
MissingMappingAction MissingMappingAction.Passthrough
MissingSchemaAction MissingSchemaAction.Add

You can change the value of any of these properties through a separate call to the property.

Example
The following example creates a ExactTargetDataAdapter, sets some of its properties, retrieves data from a table, and displays it.
public void CreateDataAdapter(ExactTargetConnection exactTargetConnection)
{
  ExactTargetCommand exactTargetCommand = new ExactTargetCommand("SELECT DeptNo, DName FROM Email", exactTargetConnection);
  ExactTargetDataAdapter myAdapter = new ExactTargetDataAdapter(exactTargetCommand);
  myAdapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey;
  DataSet myDataSet = new DataSet();
  myAdapter.Fill(myDataSet,"Email");
  //Get all data from all tables within the dataset
  foreach(DataTable myTable in myDataSet.Tables)
  {
    foreach(DataRow myRow in myTable.Rows)
    {
      foreach (DataColumn myColumn in myTable.Columns)
      {
        Console.Write(myRow[myColumn]+"\t");
      }
      Console.WriteLine();
    }
    Console.WriteLine();
  }
}
Public Sub CreateDataAdapter(ByVal exactTargetConnection As ExactTargetConnection)
  Dim exactTargetCommand As ExactTargetCommand = New ExactTargetCommand("SELECT DeptNo, DName FROM Email", exactTargetConnection)
  Dim myAdapter As ExactTargetDataAdapter = New ExactTargetDataAdapter(exactTargetCommand)
  myAdapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey
  Dim myDataSet As DataSet = New DataSet
  myAdapter.Fill(myDataSet, "Email")
  Dim myTable As DataTable
  Dim myRow As DataRow
  Dim myColumn As DataColumn
  ' Get all data from all tables within the dataset
  For Each myTable In myDataSet.Tables
    For Each myRow In myTable.Rows
      For Each myColumn In myTable.Columns
        Console.Write(myRow(myColumn) & Chr(9))
      Next myColumn
      Console.WriteLine()
    Next myRow
    Console.WriteLine()
  Next myTable
End Sub
