Example

In This Topic
    SalesforceDataAdapter Constructor(SalesforceCommand)
    In This Topic
    Initializes a new instance of the SalesforceDataAdapter class with the specified SalesforceCommand as the %% property.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Function New( _
       ByVal selectCommand As SalesforceCommand _
    )
    public SalesforceDataAdapter(
       SalesforceCommand selectCommand
    )

    Parameters

    selectCommand
    A SalesforceCommand that contains SQL SELECT statement, and is set as the SelectCommand property of the SalesforceDataAdapter.
    Remarks
    This implementation of the SalesforceDataAdapter constructor sets the SelectCommand property to the value specified in the selectCommand parameter.

    When you create an instance of SalesforceDataAdapter, the following read/write properties are set to their default values, as shown in the table.

    Properties Default Value
    MissingMappingAction MissingMappingAction.Passthrough
    MissingSchemaAction MissingSchemaAction.Add

    You can change the value of any of these properties through a separate call to the property.

    Example
    The following example creates a SalesforceDataAdapter, sets some of its properties, retrieves data from a table, and displays it.
    public void CreateDataAdapter(SalesforceConnection salesforceConnection)
    {
            SalesforceCommand salesforceCommand = new SalesforceCommand("SELECT ID, Name FROM Account", salesforceConnection);
            SalesforceDataAdapter myAdapter = new SalesforceDataAdapter(salesforceCommand);
            myAdapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey;
            DataSet myDataSet = new DataSet();
            myAdapter.Fill(myDataSet,"Accounts");

            //Get all data from all tables within the dataset
            foreach(DataTable myTable in myDataSet.Tables)
            {
                    foreach(DataRow myRow in myTable.Rows)
                    {
                            foreach (DataColumn myColumn in myTable.Columns)
                            {
                                    Console.Write(myRow[myColumn]+"\t");
                            }
                            Console.WriteLine();
                    }
                    Console.WriteLine();
            }
    }
    Public Sub CreateDataAdapter(salesforceConnection As SalesforceConnection)
            Dim salesforceCommand As New SalesforceCommand("SELECT ID, Name FROM Account", salesforceConnection)
            Dim myAdapter As New SalesforceDataAdapter(salesforceCommand)
            myAdapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey
            Dim myDataSet As New DataSet()
            myAdapter.Fill(myDataSet, "Accounts")

            'Get all data from all tables within the dataset
            For Each myTable As DataTable In myDataSet.Tables
                    For Each myRow As DataRow In myTable.Rows
                            For Each myColumn As DataColumn In myTable.Columns
                                    Console.Write(myRow(myColumn) + vbTab)
                            Next
                            Console.WriteLine()
                    Next
