Note
Before you start to upgrade dbForge Documenter for Oracle, close all running instances of dbForge Documenter, except for the one being upgraded.
You can use the Check for Updates option to see whether a new dbForge Documenter version is available and download it if needed. You can also update dbForge Documenter manually from the Devart website.
The Check for Updates option checks whether a new version of dbForge Documenter is available. If a newer version is found, the dialog opens prompting you to download it.
To check for updates:
1. On the menu bar, select Help > Check for Updates.
The dialog notifying you that a new version is available opens.
Note
If no updates are available, the following message appears:
No update is required, you have the latest product version.
Tip
To get information about the new version of dbForge Documenter for Oracle, click What’s New. On the download page that opens, click Revision history.
To postpone the update and receive another notification later, click Ask Later.
2. Click Download.
A notification appears indicating that the new version has been downloaded and is ready to install.
3. Click Update.
4. Click Yes to run the installer.
5. Click Install.
6. On the Maintenance page, the Upgrade option is selected by default. Click Next.
7. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
8. Click Finish to close the wizard.
To upgrade to the latest version from the Devart website:
1. Download the new version of dbForge Documenter.
2. Run the installer and follow the instructions.
3. Click Finish.
